Strauss & Brahms
Sunday, 28 February 2016 - 4.30pm
Chamber
The Recital Room, South Hill Park, Bracknell
Programme:
Strauss: Sextet from Capriccio
Brahms: Sextet No. 2 in G Major (Op. 36)
Gorgeous string sextets performed by members of West Forest Sinfonia, including the overture from Strauss' last opera, Capricco, well-known as a string sextet in its own right, and Brahms' sextet no. 2, which has been described as 'the most ethereal' of his larger works.
